March 2008:
Festival organiser Melvin Benn confirmed in an interview with BBC 6 Music that there will be three American headliners. Sources suggest that the headliners will be Rage Against the Machine, The Killers and Metallica.
Other acts that are expected to be on the bill include:
Kasabian, QOTSA, Babyshambles, Gallows and
Slipknot.

The Carling weekend named Best Live Event of 2007 at the NME Awards.
The Headline acts for the 2007 Reading and Leeds Festival were Razorlight, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Smashing Pumpkins.
2007:
As with every year, The 2007 Carling Weekend was another amazing event with Lostprophets, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Biffy Clyro, Jimmy Eat World, Nine Inch Nails, The Gossip and Fall Out Boy just some of the acts gracing stages.
