Warner Home Video have announced the US DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Halo Legends on 9th February 2010. This 7 episode anthology of 10-15 minute length each, explores the origin and historical events of the HALO universe, and various characters inhabiting the world. Like Animatrix and Batman Gotham Knight, each of the 8 episodes will be created by a separate prominent Japanese anime producer.

Available on DVD ($19.98 SRP), Special Edition DVD ($29.98 SRP) and Blu-ray Disc ($34.99 SRP), some early specs follow...

Extras on the SE DVD and Blu-ray include:
  • The Making of Halo Legends – An introduction to Halo Legends followed by a making of segment for each episode
  • Halo: Gaming Evolved – Exploring the Halo phenomenon from its inception as an Xbox video game to present day entertainment franchise
  • Halo: The Story So Far – Overview of Halo universe up until the end of Halo 3 (narrated by Frank O’Connor)
  • Commentary – Frank O’Connor and Joseph Chou discuss each episode

I think i'll take it, curious to see that, just like i did with Batman : Gotham Knight (still didn't watch Animatrix ...), which i enjoyed :)
