Universal Pictures have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Mamma Mia! The Movie (2-Disc Special Edition) on 23rd November 2009 priced at £19.99 RRP. The best-selling DVD of 2008 (in the UK) returns with a bonus disc that offers the following extras:
  • Mamma Mia – Stage to Screen (22:13mins)
  • 30 Rock Episode “Mamma Mia” (20:04mins)
  • The Best Summer of My Life (12:29mins)
  • Mamma Mia! – Meeting the stars – Premier Spectacular (4:12mins)
  • Photo Gallery

Sort of a cash-in edition, isn't it?

Actually I shouldn't really complain; Its a lot better than having released just a vanilla version in the first place. But there doesn't seem much here to provoke an upgrade by anyone but the most obsessive fans.

But there are a LOT of obsessive Abba fans.
