Momentum Pictures have announced the UK DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Outlander on 31st August 2009. Jim Caveizel, John Hurt, Ron Perlman, Sophia Myles and Jack Huston star in this sci-fi action adventure directed by Howard McCain. In the film Caveizel portrays Kainan, a man from a far-off world who crash lands on Earth during the reign of the Vikings, bringing with him an alien predator known as the Moorwen. Though both man and monster are seeking revenge for violence committed against them, Kainan leads the alliance to kill the Moorwen by fusing his advanced technology with the Viking's Iron Age weaponry.

Priced at £17.99 RRP on DVD and £24.99 RRP on Blu-ray Disc, both formats offer the following features:

This was surprisingly good nonsense. Not a classic, but everyone I know who saw it enjoyed it immensly.

Glad to see some decent extras, but these days I find lenticular packaging usually screams "This is a terrible disc that we have to make look good somehow!". ;)
