Warner Home Video have announced the US DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Watchmen on 28th July 2009. Zack Synder directs this live-action adaptation of the Watchmen graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.
There will be both single-disc and two-disc editions on DVD and a single Blu-ray Disc release available…
1-Disc DVD - No extras, theatrical cut of the film in separate widescreen and full screen editions.

re: the Ultimate Edition that people are talking about. While I know it has been discussed by those involved with the film, I wouldn't expect Warner or Paramount to make a big song or dance about it until these editions have been out for a while and made them some money.
