Optimum Home Entertainment have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Emmanuelle for 23rd April 2007 priced at £17.99. The most popular soft porn film of all time, and a breakout box-office hit around the world, Emmanuelle stars Sylvia Kristel as the eponymous heroine who is sexually awakened through a series of erotic adventures. For the first time in its history, the film has been passed UNCUT by the BBFC and will be released as such.

I do hope that they, or some company, plan to release the original Io Emmanuelle (1969) to DVD with English subs, it stars Erika Blanc in the title role, alongside none other than Adolfo Celi!
