Pathé Distribution Ltd. have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Deep Water for 16th April 2007 priced at £19.99.Produced by John Smithson (Touching the Void) and narrated by Tilda Swinton this documentary follows the true-life story of Donald Crowhurst’s solo adventure on his mission to be the first and fastest person to sail alone around the world non-stop in the first ever Times Golden Globe boat race.
Extras include extended family, journalist and yachtsmen stories about the race and a 10-minute interview with the eventual winner of the 1968 race, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, who today at the age of 67 is the oldest competitor in this year’s race.
