The question is when are we going to see Where Eagles Dare on Blu Ray, fingers crossed they will do a remaster like North by Northwest that would make me a happy happy person.

Is this just the same Dirty Harry boxset that came out earlier this year, then went strangely OOP?

Bloody hell, I've just bitten my lip and bought Gran Torino because I was sick of waiting for a newer version with better extras. Still, I hope Where Eagles Dare and Pale Rider get decent prints and extras. Don't have those.

Amen to that. WEA got a really poor DVD for such a big, well-loved film.

Just think of the money it must have made for Warners over the years and they couldn't even give it the standard Roadshow Version DVD.

Didn't count before but you're quite right. Checked the list from Warner and I didn't miss any. They only have 34. Flags of our Fathers is a Paramount release in America. Either there's one they haven't told us about or they're including the short film amongst the 35.

Although we're waiting on further info I would suggest to those hoping for new improved editions of certain films to not get too excited, as this is almost certainly just the existing DVD releases repackaged. There's certainly been no hint in any of the material from Warner that anything other than the packaging and the short film are new. It's also worth noting that it's listed as a 19-disc set, made up of a mixture of DVD14, DVD18, DVD5 and DVD9 discs, so you'll probably find a lot of multi-film discs in there.

I did wonder if they were including the short in the 35, they probably are which seems a bit of a joke tbh. Not that it bothers me as I wont be buying it being from the UK and without a multi-region player, looks like a fairly nice set though.
