Fox Home Entertainment have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Dollhouse Season 1 on 7th September 2009. From Joss Whedon, Dollhouse stars Eliza Dushku as as Echo, just one member working for an illegal underground organization that implants employees with false memories and skills in order to perform various missions and dangerous tasks. These “dolls” can become anything that anyone desires; a lover, a fighter, an assassin, even a best friend. Once their assignment is complete, their memories are wiped clean and they are released back into the “Dollhouse” to cohabitate with their fellow colleagues under the watchful eye of those in charge. But Echo is slowly starting to become aware of herself and her surroundings… and one outsider will stop at nothing to bring the entire “Dollhouse” down.

Priced at £24.99 RRP, episodes are spread across four-discs with the following extras:
  • Original Unaired Plot – “Echo”
  • Twenty Three Deleted Scenes (30mins)
  • ”Making Dollhouse” featurette (20mins)
  • ”Coming Home” featurette (7mins)
  • ”Finding Echo” featurette (5mins)
  • ”Designing The Perfect Dollhouse” featurette (6mins)
  • ”A Private Engagement” featurette (6mins)
  • Episode Commentary on "Ghost" with Josh Whedon and Eliza Dushku
  • Episode Commentary on "Man on the Street" with Joss Whedon
  • Episode Commentary on "Epitaph One" with writers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen

Episodes are presented in anamorphic widescreen with English DD5.1 Surround audio and English, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish subtitles. Extras are also subtitled in the same languages (except commentaries which are not subtitled).

Just checked the Region 1 news article on DVD Times it appears the only difference in extras is the absence of the episode "Epitaph One". It is in the Region 1 set but not in the Region 2 set.

I think the difference between the sets is explained because "Epitaph One" did not air in the US due to a Fox f-up, and hence is counted over there as a special feature, whereas in the UK it will be shown on Sci-Fi as it should have been, so it will probably appear on this set in the normal course of episodes.

sifr is correct. Just received and checked the discs and it's on there as a regular episode (last one). Updated the list of specs.
