Eagles Over London (R2/UK BD) - Cancelled

Update: For reasons unknown this title has been cancelled and will no longer be released by Severin Films.

Delayed from its original August release date, Severin Films have announced the UK DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Eagles Over London will now arrive on 11th January 2010. Van Johnson and Frederick Stafford star as military officers pursuing a merciless team of Nazi saboteurs through war-ravaged London in Enzo Castellari’s Eagles Over London (La Battaglia D’Inghilterra).

Priced at £15.99 RRP on DVD and £24.99 RRP on Blu-ray Disc, extras include:

• Another conversation with Enzo Castellari and Quentin Tarantino – An all new featurette with the two directors
• Eagles Over Los Angeles – featurette from a very rare screening at The Silent Movie Theatre (Blu-ray exclusive)

Castellari went on to direct to The Inglorious Bastards (Qel maledetto treno blindato) in 1978 which the press release points out is being released on Special Edition Blu-ray by Severin Films USA on 28th July 2009. Details here.
