Universal Studios Home Video have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of Jarhead and The Kingdom on 25th November 2008. SRP is $29.98 each or you can pick both titles up as part of an ‘Action/Thriller’ bundle pack for $59.98.
Universal have so far not used region coding on their Blu-ray Disc titles and we expect this trend to continue, though officially no region coding information has been supplied. Features are detailed below…
Jarhead
The Kingdom
As with previous Universal Blu-ray titles the U-Control PIP function on The Kingdom is just another way to access the bonus material (as opposed to offering any new content). It's also likely that a PIP track is available on Jarhead with the remaining DVD extras not listed above, as the press material does confirm that all standard def DVD extras are included (and this is how such material has been presented in the past when not listed amongst the extras).

How come most of these releases aren't getting released internationally?

I guess Universal still didn't get the memo that collections and bundles are supposed to be cheaper, else they're totally pointless.

I think you mean 3 for 2, but that's not the case here. Only the Nov 25th titles (Jarhead & The Kingdom) are in the bundle.

Blimey. Then that really is a pointless exercise.
