Universal Playback have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Battlestar Galactica Season 4 on 6th October 2008 priced at £34.99. While technically Season 4 of the re-imagined sci-fi series has been split into two parts for broadcast (with the second batch of episodes yet to air) the first part consisting of 10 episodes is being released here on UK DVD as Season 4.
The 10 episodes are spread across four-discs presented in anamorphic widescreen with English DD5.1 Surround and English DD2.0 Stereo audio, and English SDH subtitles. Extras include the feature length Razor, deleted scenes and a sneak peek into the final season. Total running time of the extras is listed as 3hrs 4mins approx.

"Destiny is not what it seems" Damn straight!
This is only half of season 4, so if thats the final artwork then it is VERY misleading.
Naff all in the way of extras as well. Most people interested in this will already have Razor and theres not a commentary track in sight leaving only deleted scenes as the only real extra feature!!
Will definately be waiting for the R1.

Yes, I've gone R1 all the way with BSG so far and see no need to change that for Season 4. I would much rather wait for the inevitable complete season set next year, which will undoubtedly contain more in the way of extras compared to the R2 sets, which have shafted us all the way thus far.
Quite liking the look of the art so far!

I wouldn't hold your breath... Season 2 is still only available as split sets on R1.

WTF? Full length of Razor is included? Then what I am going to do with my Razor DVD? Universal should have least included all extras from R1 (all way back to miniseries) including web eps! FFS!

Also, just noticed the packaging. Whats the point of putting 2 single cases in a box with a double case?
Why not just put 2 double cases in there?
Although i suppose the real question is why bother at all?
