Warner Home Video and HBO have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of Band of Brothers on 11th November 2008 priced at $99.98 SRP. Based on the bestseller by Stephen E. Ambrose, the epic 10-part miniseries Band of Brothers tells the story of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army.

Certainly one I'd be interested in, though it would be nice to have something more over the DVD than just a picture upgrade (and to be fair the DVD upscales very nicely).
Problem as always is the price. I'd import, but that's still £50 vs the £20 or so for the DVD set as it was when I got it), and probably more as I'm guaranteed these days to get hit with customs fees I find :(. UK price will of course be £ for $.
If I hadn't already got the DVD, I'd be less fussed about spending a bit on this.

Now that's more like it. Reasonable for a 6 disc HD set.
I see RRP is £49.99 also. Really did expect it to be £99.99.
From the photo it looks like it's in a tin also.
Now if they can just get individual BR releases down to £10 to £15 ;)
