I've just gone back 20 years to a time when this and all the other Sinbads films were on during the 6 weeks holiday!

I've heard! Guess it slipped my mind. I think I may give this one a courtesy buy.

RisingSun, I would definitely give this one a courtesy buy. The 7th Voyage of Sinbad is before my time too (I'm 21), but it's a crying shame more people my age don't know the great work of Ray Harryhausen. He's played an integral part in some classic fantasy/adventure/sci-fi films, and 7th Voyage is probably one of the more famous ones, so I'd definitely give it a look.
On a technical note, the aspect ratio for this release is listed as 1.66:1. Does anyone know what the deal is with that? My understanding is that the film was displayed theatrically at 1.85:1, but I think Harryhausen framed his stop-motion sequences at 1.33:1, so my best guess is that 1.66:1 is a happy-medium between the two. Anyone know for sure?
