Fox Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of My Sassy Girl on 19th August 2008 priced at $27.98 SRP. Jesse Bradford stars as Charlie, a naïve, buttoned-up Midwestern everyman and Elisha Cuthbert stars as Jordan, a carefree, untamed girl destined to break Charlie’s heart. After rescuing Jordan from a near-drunken accident, the two embark on a romantic roller coaster ride full of concussions, career sabotage, a few slaps in the face and, ultimately, love.
My Sassy Girl is based on the graphic novel series, turned best-selling novel, by Kim Ho-sik that detailed his relationship with his off-the-wall college girlfriend. The book was then adapted for the screen and My Sassy Girl became a hit at the Korean box-office. Remade for American audiences, My Sassy Girl is given a barebones release which presents the film in anamorphic widescreen with English DD5.1 Surround audio and English and Spanish subtitles.

May as well note here that the UK release - previously down for 26th May - is now due out a day before the R1 on 18th Aug.
