Check The Digital Bits, concerning your request: "If you're looking for older seasons of Lost and Gray's (or other shows, like Smallville) on Blu-ray, you'll have to wait a little longer. Industry sources are telling us that BD authoring and replication facilities are packed with work on new release and catalog film titles for the holidays, so older TV product is taking a back seat right now, at least until later in the year. They'll come eventually, but it's going to take some time."

I would be happy if they started releasing them on Region B as well. At least Season3 and Season4, can't be that hard since the authoring work has already been done.

Thanks Robert. It still seems odd to give us S3 and S4 but not S1/S2.
I'd prefer they just release them Region Free.

Oh really? Well never mind that. As long as there'll be an all six seasons complete series boxset in HD in a couple years, I don't mind waiting, really.

Is there any reason why this release is the same 5 discs as the DVD version? I was hoping that 50Gb discs would mean less discs used overall for releases like this.

I am really tempted to buy this and the previous season. I saw some trails on recent BluRay purchase and I have never seen such rich and vibrant greens!
The level of detail and realsitic colour were just incredible!

You catch a shark, cut off its fins and tail, throw it back into the water ALIVE, but now unable to swim - so it slowly drowns - only to dry then boil those fins down to make a tasteless watery broth that costs the earth and is nothing more than a status symbol.
Ignorance personified.

@ KAC: They're in HD ;)
More discs can also mean a higher price. They're make a packet out of box sets, even when they cost a fraction to produce.

Yeah... I was afraid of that. Still, I wonder how many discs they could saved by using a losslessly compressed sound format instead of PCM? Even one would have been nice.
