DreamWorks Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of House of Sand and Fog for 30th March 2004 with a retail price of $26.99. Academy Award winners Ben Kingsley (Gandhi) and Jennifer Connelly (A Beautiful Mind) star as two strangers whose conflicting pursuits of the American Dream lead to a fight for their hopes at any cost. What begins as a struggle over a run-down bungalow spirals into a clash that propels everyone involved toward a shocking resolution.

It's interesting that such an acclaimed film is based around a bungalow! :D

It does however look good, and the Oscar and other awards it has been nominated for increase my expectations. Connelly is brilliant in everything she's been in (and her acting is good... ;)) and Kingsley is a British acting legend.

Roll on the UK cinema release!

Its not a type of film that I would go and watch in the Cinema. But looking forward to the DVD release.
