I wonder how long it will be before the "unrated extended by a few seconds you dont need to see ultra special limited collectors edition" will be released...
Okay or disc 1 really!
As for why the film didnt work... the commentary track listing says it all, way too many cooks...

Its well known that Tim Burton wanted to make a Bat sequel featuring ONLY Catwoman but didnt have the clout required to get his way so the final result result diluted the whole. It still made money and more importantly had TWICE as much villain merchandising to sell! Cue the following movies with schizophrenic multi-storylines.
Its a shame that a character as rich as Venom was basically just clumsily tagged-on to what was essentially a Sandman story (or vice-versa!)
Also ask ANY comic book fan about "villain team-ups" in general and no doubt they will give you a look of despair!
Roll on the next Spidey movie which apparently will feature the Vulture, Electro, Kraven the Hunter AND members of the Sinister Six - HOO boy!
ps It DOES have some EXCELLENT moments though so i will still pick up this DVD.
The studios HAVE won!!!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Honestly, Am I the only one who thought this film was HORRIBLE?! it was the worst of the series and I'll tell you why: 1. the Spider-Man series have Tobey Maguire as a very weak and pathetic(imo) Spider-Man-seriously and he keeps getting worse I mean Maguire as a "cool, dark, emo" Peter?!(please...) 2. They thought that cramming THREE(count them: Goblin,Jr. Venom and Sandman)villians into this film would work and it was JUST A MESS!! 3.Same plot in its entirety as Spider-Man 2 except now a CRAPPY scene of Mary Jane in a car dangling on a gigantic web(...that wouldn't even happen in the COMIC BOOKS) there---
garypleace: Venom was killed off too fast and he was the only interesting character, Tim Burton's Batman films don't even compare to this TANGLED****!!
Crap! There's ANOTHER one coming? ...great~
The only EXCELLENT moment was Venom's scenes(which was barely in the film!)
Huge DISAPPOINTMENT-I'm GLAD I don't have to spend my money on this...
