At this year's Consumer Electronics Show Warner Home Video have just announced their initial Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD plans for 2007. New titles now confirmed for the format include The Departed, Happy Feet, Blood Diamond and We Are Marshall, while catalogue titles will include The Matrix franchise, all of the Harry Potter films and Oceans 11 and Oceans Twelve. Classic titles to be released in the first quarter of 2007 include Bullitt and The Getaway (1972) starring Steve McQueen. Also being released in 2007 is Alexander Revisited: The Unrated Final Cut.

Also coming to Blu-ray Disc are three titles already available on HD DVD: GoodFellas, The Dirty Dozen and Enter the Dragon.

The Matrix will be ace, especially since the original DVD is poor, and the remaster in the boxed set I haven't seen because I don't want the sequels.

I'm looking forward to the Harry Potter films if the latest one in HD is anything to go by.. a really nice transfer and the films are getting better as the series progresses. I just guess they need to hurry before Daniel becomes too manly to portray Harry and they have to get some other kid in to replace him.

Oh, and wasn't Oceans 12 a bit pants?

Warner have also released a near identical schedule for Blu-ray with the additions of GoodFellas, The Dirty Dozen and Enter the Dragon that were previously released on HD DVD

Yep, strange they waited so long to announce the same basic list of titles. I've updated this to a dual-format piece, no need for a 2nd BD only one.

The 10 disc box set version of the Matrix DVD is a lot better than the std DVD, but it is also tinted to match the sequels.
The original DVD looks a bit washed out and flat now I've got used to the re-mastered DVD.
I didn't want the rest of them either so bid on a broken case set on eBay.
won it for £7.00 (in $'s as it's the R1 as R2 is cut still) and asked him only to send Disc 1+2 and the booklet. The 2 dvd's sit on the snapper case spindle quite happily.......:D
