Paramount Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Twin Peaks: The Second Season for 3rd April 2007. Twin Peaks was created by David Lynch and Mark Frost. "Approved by David Lynch the Second Season contains 22 episodes digitally restored from high definition masters, 5.1 Surround Sound and is loaded with new in-depth interviews and introductions."
Episodes are spread over six-discs with extras including “Log Lady Intros” for each episode, insights from Jennifer Lynch, Todd Holland, Caleb Deschanel, Duwayne Dunham, Stephen Gyllenhaal and Tim Hunter plus an interactive interview grid.

This is so long over due I can't wait. I've finally just picked up S1 UK R2 too. I presume this time it won't matter which region you get?
p.s - I bet all the eBay sellers selling all those Spanish DVDs (the only current legit version) are getting worried :D

Great news! I was beginning to regret throwing out all my old taped-off-the-TV episodes. If the quality of the set is anything like the first season, this will be well worth watching again.

I'm not sure but if you can get it, then it is a great set! But it is subtitled in the loud club scene, which I'd not seen before.
Now season 2 is coming out, I might pick up season 1

Already been released in Germany in two parts.
Hopefully the UK won't be far behind as I'd like it to match my first season.

I guess I'll sell my german season 1 set and buy this new baby together with season 1. Do I still need "Fire Walk with Me" to understand everything ?

I hear it's best to watch it after S1 and S2 so that's what I'll be doing.

Thanks. I reckon it's very much OOP though :(

The first series consisted of the pilot and seven episodes. The R2 includes all of these.

With the initial (R1) now unavailable, Any definitive word on a Season 1 (R1) re-release including the pilot? Or is is best to secure a (R2) version while they are available?
