Warner Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Ace Ventura Deluxe Double Feature for 5th September 2006 priced at $19.97 SRP. This giftset features Ace Ventura Pet Detective and its sequel, Ace Ventura When Nature Calls, newly remastered in anamorphic widescreen with a bonus disc of specially selected cartoons from the animated series.

FINALLY, An R1 Widescreen edition! And it's been remastered too! Sounds like it's worth the upgrade.

Ah but does Ace Ventura carry the alternate/deleted footage contained in home video and cable prints? I think not, loser.... lo-ser

I've been waiting forever for this. Yeah, I hope Ace Ventura is like a longer version or something, but if it's just the theatrical version you can't really complain that it doesn't contain deleted scenes.

That's all? I mean, no extras for Nature Calls than trailers? I would've expected a commentary from Steve Oedekerk, at least...

And you probably mean Le-who, ze-her! :D

I just hope Nature Calls won't be cut again once it hits the R2 land; I think that was the single most stupid thing WB had done, especially when the cuts were mostly absolutely inane:mad:

Thanks for the correction (eyes roll). The extra footage fills out plot points, makes it more of a film.
