So are WB supporting both Blu-ray and HD like Paramount? That will make things even more confusing, if they released the same film twice.

Why the change of colour from pink to red?

Only Apollo 13 interests me but the red against black really clashes.

I'm not even going to consider getting HD DVD until a dual supporting player comes out. I am not prepared to lose out on titles I want.

Although considering the use of two different laser types wouldn't this be hard?

Hopefully it'll be a betamax vs VHS thing again, and soon one of them will die and then all the films released on the dead format will be released in the new one.

My money's on HD-DVD.

The generic covers really make them look like cheap budget titles, whereas the DVD will just be the normal cover. I know what looks better. You would have thought they could have figured out a way to distinguish them from normal DVDs without making them look like i-pod accessories.

I'd love to Serenity in HD, but I'd only get it if HD-DVD wins over Blu-ray. And if Universal supports both, they better not just port over the extras that were just on the R1 version. I want to see what kind of interactivity the HD-DVD and Blu-ray has.

Otherwise, if both HD-DVD and Blu-ray just port over the same extras with a couple of new features, I'm skipping out on both of them. From my understanding, both formats allocate a higher bit rate for the picture and audio as well as interactivity while you're watching the movie. Not enough for me -- either format better offer up something AMAZING that's worth upgrading from regular DVD. (But not offering trailers and anti-piracy ads that play when you load the disc in is a nice start...)

Updated with audio specs and confirmed release dates. Cinderella Man is a May release but we'll keep the artwork here until more details come in.
