Looking forward to this. Enjoyed it at the cinema, a nice film with affectionate nods at the Guides earlier incarnations. Pity that the Thunderbirds movie was not as well handled.

Extras look fine, and a cast commentary could be a laugh. Anyone know if the cinema box office might be enough to get us a sequel? I would imagine that, in the UK at least, there should be good sales for the DVD.

Not sure about the cover, would have prefered just the thumbs up logo. But big woo for DTS and commentaries.

Film-wise I didn't enjoy this enough to get it anywhere near full price though.

I'm in two minds about this. I watched it the other day on a flight and enjoyed it but didn't find it so gripping that I wanted to watch it again. However that could have just been because it was watched on a 9" screen from 6 feet away!

The extras on this look ok, I agree that the commentary could be very good. DTS as an addition is nice but not overly sure it will really need it?

this film was rubbish!!! the only interesting part was the dolphins at the start, i would have rather watched a documentary on their journey into space... Hitchhiker is typically british and 100 boring, i almost fell asleep watching it:o

I've heard good things about the Don't Crash documentary. It's made by Grant 'Meeting People Is Easy' Gee - so a nice bonus for the UK disc there.

I do however like the LE packaging. Although isn't anyone who wants this version going to have the book already? Seems a bit pointless.

The menus look a bit dull as well given the potential, hopefully they'll come alive when animated.

I thought the menus were the only logical ones, given the Guide in the film. Man, I love Shynola - they knocked those Guide entries 'outa da park'...

A friend who worked on this film but was deleted out of the final cut said she did more work for the extras than she did for the film, I hope it makes up for the lack of umph the film had. I feel I will have to purchase, although it's mostly[harmless] out of dedication to my friend and Douglas Adams.
