Universal Studios Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Hammer Horror Series for 6th September 2005 priced at $29.98 SRP. Hammer Films, one of the most celebrated horror studios in the history of cinema, presents 8 classic horror films in one collection. From Dracula to Frankenstein, werewolves to phantoms, the Hammer Horror Series showcases some of the most terrifying monsters in the history of cinema and features legendary performances by Peter Cushing, Oliver Reed and Janette Scott.

I'd love to see this in red tinted Legacy packaging - same colour as the Hammer Vampire set from Carlton.

This is the best news I've heard all week. However, on Universal's website the pre-order price is $19.98. So presumably it will be more available at around that price. I can't believe it's so cheap for that amount of films. And none of them have been available for years!
