Does anyone actually use these branching features?. I for one find them a massive gimmick.

I can't be bothered to have to watch a film to find the extras. New Line's 'Infifilm' range is the same, the way they make out on the packaging you're going to get the best thing since slice bread. I briefly looked at it and thought what a waste of time.

It seems New Line also think the same, what with no new titles (I know of) actually being released under the 'Infifilm' label.

Well, for my part, I think it's always good when someone tries to expand the versatility of the digital disc (D.V.D.)...

But that's just me...:)

"which can be accessed via stand-alone on a menu page"
-- thank God for that. I agree with bradavon, to an extent. It seems like a cool idea at first, branching out to watch these features, but in the end it just strikes me as a bit tiresome. I see nothing wrong with having it on the disc for those who enjoy (which could be me, when caught in the right mood), but allowing us to access the extras from a seperate menu page is also nice.

Boys and girls..stop this! Seriously it does say above that all the featurettes can be accessed via a stand alone menu. I also don't like the branching option if you are not given a choice of accessing the featurettes separately.
Also -I love it when the DVD cover features the original theatrical poster art and not a new design. That's just me - I hate it when they redesign the covers for DVD.

Me too Garfunkel. I was just wondering if any actually used this particular feature.

X-Men 1.5 for example unlike the first release you can't watch the deleted scenes outside of the movie  , luckily I've already seen them otherwise it would really annoy me.
